BLACKSBURG, V.A. - The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) announced on Thursday the first M2 rankings of the season, with the Virginia Tech Hokies (13-1-1) claiming the sixth spot in the Southeast Region.
The first half of the season has been nothing short of dominant for the Hokies, averaging more than six goals per game while allowing just over two on the other end. Moreover, captain Gavin Peduzzi (43 pts) and sophomore forward Kam Khazai (33 pts) respectively rank both first and second in the country in scoring.
Virginia Tech currently ranks first among all ACCHL teams with Penn State closely behind in the seventh spot followed by #9 North Carolina State and #10 University of North Carolina. Looking ahead in the schedule, the Hokies play ranked opponents in nine out of their last 12 games.
